She won’t tell you what to think. But she will give you the freshest facts to think about.

Amy Walter, despite her promise to dissect it, doesn’t think the body politic is dead, just worth studying -- carefully, closely, and objectively. It’s what she does. Then she tells us what she’s learned via that exhaustive research -- clearly, carefully, objectively.

Over the past 20 years, Amy Walter has built a sterling reputation as an accurate, insightful political analyst, cultivating unparalleled access to campaign insiders and decision-makers. She is National Editor of the Cook Political Report, considered one of the most unbiased sources of political realities and trends, information developed from analysis of polling on all the issues of the day, as well as from “working the phones”. Ms. Walter brings that information to a large audience across many media platforms. Besides her columns on cookpolitical.com, she appears weekly on Politics Monday on the PBS NewsHour and hosts WNYC’s nationally syndicated public radio news program, The Takeaway, each Friday. In addition, she is a regular Sunday panelist on NBC’s Meet the Press and CBS’s Face The Nation and appears frequently on Special Report with Bret Baier on FOX.

Named one of the “Top 50 Journalists” by Washingtonian magazine, Walter has also won The Washington Post’s Crystal Ball Award for her spot-on election predictions.

As we struggle under a mountain of political messaging, intentional disinformation campaigns, questionable sourcing of news stories, and the spectre of foreign and domestic interference in the mechanics of our election process, Amy Walter will bring the Forum audience rare and precious clarity about what’s really going on in our Body Politic – truth serum about its agita, angst, and anticipated arc.

The Forum happily welcomes back Canandaigua native son and political commentator Michael Winship as moderator for this event.
